Trifonovskaya solar power plant with a capacity of 10 MW, designed by BETEN INGENIERIE for the largest energy holding in Ukraine DTEK, was successfully put into operation.
Since August 1, the Trifanovskaya SPP replenishes the Ukrainian energy system by 11-12 million kWh per year, which is sufficient to provide 15 neighboring villages.
Now more than a third of the settlements of the district of Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region are supplied with “green” energy extracted from renewable sources.
High-tech complex of 37,000 solar panels allows to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 12,000 tons per year by replacing traditionally produced electricity with environmentally friendly solutions.
“The project development process took about 2 years – from 2012 to 2014 with whole respect to the procedures of the integrated European approach of our company. Meanwhile, with the aggravation of the political situation in the country in early 2014, communication with foreign investors on this project was, alas, suspended. Fortunately, the political and economic stabilization in Ukraine turned this project back to life with Ukrainian investors interest arouse, in particular, DTEK Holding, comments Michel Forget, Director of Energy Projects at BETENINTERNATIONAL. – It should be noted that the project concept was worked-out by the BETEN team in France on the basis of international standards, and then adapted to the Ukrainian norms and conditions of a specific location in cooperation with the project office «Infocom» (Zaporozhye). Finally, the technical documentation was elaborated by DTEK’s designers taking into account new technological equipment.”
