The energy sector is a historical area for our company. In BETEN, at the time of its creation, the "EN" stood for "Nuclear Energy” (EN – Energie Nucléaire in French). And today we have moved to the era of environmentally friendly "New Energies".

Indeed, BETEN INGENIERIE has worked on all kinds of energy projects, from the design of ventilation and safety systems on nuclear power plants in France and abroad in the 1970s, then on gas and oil projects like the district heating of entire neighborhoods and industrial projects, and of course, up to renewable energies: first geothermal energy, then biomass and finally solar, wind and mini hydro projects.

Today we are particularly active in these areas in Ukraine, where the "green tariff" law was introduced in 2009. Since then, we have worked on almost 1000 MW of projects spread across Ukraine. We also worked in Kyrgyzstan, then opened Kazakhstan market, being the technical consultant for the first 45 MW wind project included in the Astana-2017 World Expo, but also participating at different stages in the development of several large wind and solar projects.

Our services in the energy sector include:

• technical and legal due diligences of projects;
• resource assessment (for example, wind measurement campaigns for wind projects);
• preparation of feasibility studies for renewable energy projects;
• assistance to the Client during the selection of suppliers;
• follow-up to the construction works;
• follow-up to the exploitation of renewable energy projects.
